Can I Fix Your Server

yeah, I can fix server. Yeah, I’m the network guy and, naturally,  I know exactly what’s wrong with that piece of garbage that you can’t comprehend. It’s got hard disks, memory, CPUs and an operating system that was shat out by the devil himself (via a company called Microsoft).

Of course you don’t understand it. Yes, I know it’s hard to tell.

Just because you are an incompetent moron that finds it difficult to tie your shoelaces, everything becomes my problem.

Am I right ?

Just reboot the bloody thing and leave me the hell alone.

Vendor Account Managers

You want to buy a product. Well, you need a solution and in the end you can’t use Open Source for everything so you will need to buy something.

And that means talking to the Account Manager. That rat-eyed, two faced liar who will promise anything to make a deal, drop ship that kit and get it booked into the current quarter. Long on promises, short on delivery, shiny of suit, slimy in mode and always, always a lying bastard.

Because account managers are festering rodents always snffing out an opportunity.

Redistribute BGP into OSPF

Because some tosspot always thinks that they “get” route redistribution. Then they configure it.

Even if it works the first time, it breaks a couple days later. At 2am when you can barely even think straight. Then you are trying to unpick a network design that has 50 routers with one-way routing problem.

Nah, route redistribution is always a bloody disaster.
